Helloooo!
in today’s THE AUDACIOUS BABE Podcast episode, I had the absolute pleasure and honour to be interviewing Chloe Lee from Chloe Lee Photography and chat with her all about second shooting.
We cover both sides of second shooting, so we are are talking about the do’s and don’ts for being a second shooter and the do’s and don’ts for being a main photographer hiring a second shooter.
We also talk about two different kinds of second shooting, a) either you are new to weddings and would like to get some experience, maybe even get some good snaps for your portfolio or b) you are second shooting for money. So you are already a more establish photographer but have kids or a full time job on the side, so that your diary is not full with your own weddings yet, however, would like to add some extra cash to the bank. Both are very viable reasons to being a second shooter.
Furthermore we also chat about where you can find second shooting gigs and in general what to look out for.
This is a great episode with lots and lots of valuable content and info about second shooting and everything that comes with that.
I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I had recording it. She is one hell of an audacious babe, don’t you think?!

Short Bio:
So I’m Chloe, a Disney & Harry Potter obsessed photographer based in Essex, specialising mostly in alternative weddings. I started taking photos when I was 14 and followed up that passion by completing A levels & a degree (which for anyone reading and trying to work out a photography career path you do not need!). I originally wanted to become a forensic photographer but that quickly changed, I then spent most of my degree obsessed with Tim Walker and Kirsty Mitchell and focused a lot on conceptual portraits, then towards the end of my uni time I second shot for a friend and instantly fell down a wedding photography shaped rabbit hole and haven’t looked back since! I’m went full time in March 2017 and am now going into my 3rd year as a photographer and bloomin’ loving it!
3-5 fun facts about yourself:
- I love crafting – I love nothing more than sitting in my craft room, surrounded by paper, stickers and my scrapbooks, cutting and sticking away with a giant cuppa tea & a packet of Maltesers!
- I watch at least 1 Harry Potter film (if not more) a month and still believe that my Hogwarts letter got lost in the post…
- I would love to travel more, I really want to go to Japan, Canada, New Orleans & South Africa to name but a few!
- When I was at school I did fencing, not the garden type, the type where you fight with swords – I wish I’d carried it on tbh!
