Helloooo, my lovelies!
In today’s THE AUDACIOUS BABE Podcast episode, I had the absolute pleasure and honour to be interviewing Eva Slusarek from EVA Photography. She shares her wonderful photography journey and we are chatting all about how to get FEATURED.
Eva is kind enough to share some tips she has picked up over the years from a photographer’s point of view as well as from a blogger’s POV as about 1 year ago she has setup the Gay Wedding Blog which focuses on modern same sex weddings.
On the interview we are talking about what to look out for when you want to submit, how to maybe even pay attention to certain things while shooting the wedding itself in the first place and also how to then prepare for a submission. You will have to do your research as every wedding blog is different but Eva shares some valuable hints what most bloggers are looking for.
This is a great interview with some very practical take aways for sure.
I hope you enjoy this episode as much as I had recording it. She is one hell of an audacious babe, don’t you think?!
If you have any questions for Eva, she is already part of our online community, so just head over here and join us! I’m sure she is more than happy to answer any of your questions!

Short Bio:
I’m Eva and I shoot people for a living. I’m based in London and I photograph weddings, portraits and events. I started my adventure with cameras about 20 years ago (which makes me sound so old!), in the era of film photography and nights spent in the dark room. It didn’t kick in as a more than a hobby until about 9 years ago, a few years later I shot my first wedding and got totally hooked. For the last three years I’ve been photographing weddings and events full time, recently going back to portraits a bit more too. And that is what I specialise in – fun weddings shot in a documentary style with a pinch of portraiture.
A year ago I also started a wedding blog that focuses on modern same sex weddings – Gay Wedding Blog. The idea is to create a space for inspiration for contemporary same sex weddings and connecting couples with LGBTQ+ friendly suppliers through the recently launched supplier directory. The blog is through to finals of the UK Blog Awards 2018 so keep the fingers crossed!!
Outside of work I’m a girl racer wannabe and a cat lady. Live music, road trips while listening to the 90’s playlist and looking at the sea make me happy. Listening to The Moth storytelling is my newest obsession.
3-5 fun facts about yourself:
- I don’t like coffee which always shocks people for some reason, however I love an occasional espresso martini
- Many people take me for a dark person, but they don’t know that I have an obsession with dance movies and shows (from Dirty Dancing to all the Step Up’s and SYTYCD), and I actually danced since I was a kid and I’m a pretty good salsera
- I’m dreaming of road trips around Europe and US, my car is my happy place
