Happy New Year, my lovely audacious babes!
In today’s THE AUDACIOUS BABE PODCAST episode I’m chatting about how stress can screw with your life.
My start to 2019 was very different than I initially had planned for or intended. I woke up one day early January with half of my face being paralysed. Quite scary, right? Long story short, I’ve been diagnosed with Bell’s Palsy, which is a partial facial paralysis. No one really knows what brings this paralysis on and they also do not really know how to treat it properly, it is one of those things that you just need to let heal itself.
However, as my 2018 was such a stressful and manic year, or at least I had perceived it as such, I feel like this is a wake-up call to re-evaluate my lifestyle and in particular my stress levels. Long term stress can have all sorts of negative impacts on your body. Even though it is not proven to be one of the factors causing Bell’s Palsy, I think it could as well be. Who knows. But for me this triggered some internal evaluation and inspiration to change my ways. To change my attitude and shift my mindset when it comes to my stress levels.
So in this episode, I’m talking about what stress actually is, what influences our stress levels and most importantly, how can we change the impact permanently. To me it requires a total mindset shift on how I deal with certain situations that are perceived to be stressful. Yes there are many external triggers to our stresses, but I believe that how we handle them internally actually affects your stress levels the most.
Listen to the full episode to learn what my plans are for changing my ways and implementing a stress-free attitude. Hopefully this might inspire you and gives you some food for thought as well in how you want to deal with your stress levels in 2019.
If you want to plan for your 2019, I’ve recorded multiple episodes on this topic. So simply head over to either Episode number 2 for Goal Settings or use Episode number 9 for reviewing your past year and making 2019 your most epic one yet.
