In today’s new episode of the AUDACIOUS BABE PODCAST I’ve had the absolute honour of interviewing the amazing Jo Robertson from Lillian Craze Birth Photography. And guess what?! We are talking all about Birth Photography.
I’ve met Jo online and stumbled upon her breathtaking and powerful birth photography work and immediately messaged her and asked her to be on the show. Which luckily for me and all of you listening, she kindly agreed. It was such a pleasure chatting with her about her photography journey and how she got into the birth photography genre.
We touched upon the passion that you need to sustain this business as with any not yet mass market photography genre, the success lies in the long game and in building powerful and genuine connections and relationships with your clients.
Jo also kindly lets us peek into her processes and how she goes from first enquiry all the way to capturing the actual birth. Truly fascinating to hear this kind of detail and behind the scenes.
Every business has its ups and downs, but Jo’s wonderful motto is inspired by Disney’s Dory (original character from the Finding Nemo movie): “Just keep swimming!”
Listen to the full episode to find out more details about Jo’s full reveal of her work routine as well as her reasons for delivering images solely in black and white.
